Preview: This is the eighth in a nine-part series of lessons entitled: FEAR.

Scripture Reading: Isaiah 1:1-15.

Memory Verse: Psalm 90:11.

1. Do we see the awesome wrath of a just God who hates false forms of religion in the foregoing Scriptures?
2. Will there come a time when a loving, caring God will mock at those who have religion without righteousness? Proverbs 1:24-31.
3. What else will a merciful God do when provoked to anger? II Chronicles 36:11-20.
Note: God does not play games with man. He has given us every good and perfect gift, but if we reject Him He will depart.
4. Is it a fearful thing to fall into the hands of a living, angry God? Hebrews 10:28-31.
5. How can we avoid that condition? II Corinthians 7:1.
Note: Our God is a long-suffering, merciful God, but He is a God of justice, therefore, we will reap what we sow.
6. Is there a great contrast between God’s relationship with those who fear and obey Him and those who do not? Psalm 37:1-8.
7. What will be the end of evil doers? Psalm 37:9-15 & Psalm 37:20-22.
8. Will God soon shake the earth? Isaiah 2:10-12 & Isaiah 2:17-19.
9. What will man’s reaction be at that time? Isaiah 2:20-22 & Isaiah 24:1-6.
10. What must our character be if we are to be leaders? II Samuel 23:1-4.
Note: There is a great and terrible day coming soon. Only those who fear God, worship Him in holiness, witness to His greatness, and obey His laws and statutes will escape destruction. These are those who have put on Christ.
