The Fruit of the Spirit Is Faith: Part 9 of 13

Preview: An in-depth study of the fruits of the spirit. This is the ninth lesson in a thirteen-part series on this subject.


Pre-reading: Matthew 25:14-30.

Scripture Reading: Matthew 8:5-13.

Memory Verse: I Corinthians 4:2.

1. Why did Jesus say in the foregoing Scriptures that the centurion had great faith?
Note: True faith will always produce faithfulness. Faithfulness produces works.
2. How did James describe faith without works? James 2:14-20.
3. How did Abraham and Rahab prove their faith? James 2:21-26.
4. What must we do after we have heard the Word? James 1:21-25, I John 2:4-6.
5. How did Paul admonish us to let our faith grow into faithfulness? Hebrews 10:16-25.
6. What results when we fail to let faith grow? Hebrews 10:26-29, Hebrews 10:31, Hebrews 10:35-38.
Note: There are many who claim to love the Lord, and don’t even know who He is. They know very little about His promises or requirements because they do not read His Word.
7. What strengthens our faith? James 5:7-11, James 1:3, I Peter 1:3, I Peter 1:7.
8. How do we grow spiritually through tribulation? Romans 5:1-6.
Note: Only when troubles come can we know whether our faith is in God or man. It is only when all else fails that our hearts totally turn to Him.
9. How will God protect His faithful witness? Matthew 10:16-22.
10. What is promised to those who keep the faith to the end? Revelation 2:7, Revelation 2:10-11.
11. What is promised to those who do not have a working faith? Matthew 7:20-23, Luke 6:46, Luke 6:49.
Note: When we do the will of God, our faith produces action. If we do not trust and obey, we will not be in His Kingdom.
