Preview: Our obligations to God are made plain throughout the Bible. This is the first part of a two-part lesson on this subject.

1. Do we have a duty to fear God? Deuteronomy 6:13, Deuteronomy 8:6, Proverbs 1:7, Psalm 33:8 & Psalm 96:9.
2. Is there a blessing in fearing God? Deuteronomy 6:2, Deuteronomy 6:24, Psalm 25:12-14 & Proverbs 14:26-27.
3. Are we required to obey God? Leviticus 18:4-5, Leviticus 19:37 & John 5:14.
4. Will we be rewarded for obedience? Leviticus 20:22, II Samuel 22:20-21 & II Samuel 22:25.
5. Are we commanded to wait on God? Psalm 27:14, Psalm 33:20, Isaiah 30:18 & Isaiah 40:31.
6. Is it our duty to trust God? Psalm 4:5 & Psalm 118:8-9.
7. Should we have communion with God? Psalm 16:7, Psalm 19:14, Psalm 42:8, I John 1:6 & Revelation 3:20.
8. Should we have hope in God? Psalm 31:24, Romans 8:24-25 & Colossians 1:5.
9. Is rejoicing a duty to God? I Chronicles 16:10, Psalm 95:1, Philippians 3:1 & Philippians 4:4.
Note: Fearing God, obeying God, waiting on God, trusting God, communion with God, and hope in God are duties to Him that we must perform to be saved.
