Preview: God demonstrates His power and divinity through the use of miracles throughout the New Testament.


Scripture Reading: John 2:1-10.

Memory Verse: Luke 17:32.

1. What was the purpose of miracles in the New Testament? John 2:11, John 4:48, John 11:41-42.
2. What did the people request from Jesus and for what reason? Matthew 8:5-8, Matthew 14:35-36, Luke 9:38-39.
3. Did God work miracles through the apostles? How did it make the people feel? Acts 2:43 & Acts 5:12, Acts 5:15-16.
4. What great miracle did Jesus perform for His disciples? Mark 4:38-41.
5. What other miracles did He perform for them? Matthew 15:25-31.
6. Was faith required in working miracles? Discuss. Matthew 9:20-22.
7. Why were there failures in attempting to work miracles? Matthew 17:19-21, Mark 9:16-29.
8. What was the miracle cure of the blind? Matthew 20:30-34.
Note: God is still performing miracles today and will perform them through us and in our lives if we have the Holy Spirit. (Read Ephesians 3:20.)
