Preview: This is the second part of a two-part lesson on the subject of the far-reaching consequences of Cain’s decision to kill his brother.

Scripture Reading: Genesis 8:1-19.

Memory Verse: Hebrews 11:4.

1. What indicates Seth was a believer? Genesis 4:26.
2. What is the result of calling on the Lord? Romans 10:13.
3. How old was Enoch and how did he live? Genesis 5:22-24.
4. Why was Enoch translated? Hebrews 11:5.
5. What did Lamech name one of his sons? Why? Genesis 5:28-29.
6. What occurred after a period of time? Genesis 6:1-2.
Note: It seems almost certain in this instance that the daughters of men were the descended from Cain, while the sons of God were descended from Seth. The idea that “sons of God” means fallen angels is false. For one reason Jesus said that angels do not marry, Matthew 22:30. Jesus is the Son of God, and He is higher than the angels.
7. Did God set a time limit for man? How long? Genesis 6:3.
8. Why did God pronounce judgment on man? Genesis 6:5-7.
9. Was there someone who was faithful? Genesis 6:8-9.
10. Did God give Noah a special work to do? Genesis 6:13-17 & Genesis 6:19-21.
11. Did Noah obey? Genesis 6:22 & Hebrews 11:7.
12. Did the flood come as God promised? Genesis 7:10-12.
13. How comprehensive was the flood? Genesis 7:23.
14. What did Noah do right after the flood? Genesis 8:20.
15. How did God respond? Genesis 8:21-22.
