Preview: God’s plans for us at the time of the end. This is the first of a two-part lesson on this subject.

Pre-reading: Hebrews 1:1-14 & Hebrews 2:1-18.

Scripture Reading: Revelation 20:1-15.

Memory Verse: Daniel 7:27.

1. Discuss the contrast between Satan and God’s people in the foregoing Scriptures when Christ sets up His Kingdom on earth.
2. Where is Satan while the Judgment is taking place? Revelation 20:1-2, Revelation 20:4 & Revelation 20:7.
3. Who will judge and reign with Christ? Revelation 20:6 & I Corinthians 6:2-3.
Note: There are those who teach that this Judgment is now in progress. Surely no one can believe that Satan, that old serpent the Devil, is out of circulation. Never has he been more alive and well.
4. What song will the saints be singing at this time? Revelation 5:9-10.
5. Where will His throne be set up? Luke 1:26, Luke 1:30-32 & Isaiah 2:1-4.
Note: It is certainly fitting that the King who sits on David’s throne would do so in the same location as David’s Kingdom: in Jerusalem.
6. How just will His Judgment be? Isaiah 11:1-5.
7. What will the nature of the wild beasts become when Satan is out of commission? Isaiah 11:6-9 & Isaiah 65:25.
Note: This earth will be restored to its original state of perfection, as it was before man sinned. Sin changed the condition of the earth as well as the nature of the animals and the character of man, but God will restore all things through righteousness.
8. What will the people be doing during this thousand years? Isaiah 65:21-24.
9. What will happen to Satan and his converts at the end of the thousand years? Revelation 20:7-10.
10. When did God make this plan of redemption for fallen man? Acts 3:20-21.
Note: Yes, God had a plan for a righteous earthly Kingdom when He created all things and put Adam in charge. Adam failed through disobedience, but God will not be defeated. He sent His Son to redeem all things through His shed blood on the cross. He will come again and restore all things.
