Preview: Patience is an important link in the chain of Christian growth. One never has great faith without patience, for faith is the fruit of patience. This is God’s plan and way; and, if we wish to see His face in peace, we must go His way.

Scripture Reading: I Samuel 13:5-14.

Memory Verse: Psalm 37:7.

1. What did Jesus say about patience? Luke 21:19.
Note: Webster defines patience as the capacity, habit, or fact of being patient. Patient: Bearing pains or trials calmly or without complaint; manifesting forbearance under provocation.
2. What is the benefit of tribulation? Romans 5:3.
3. What does patience bring? Romans 5:4.
Note: By this we see that patience leads to hope through experience. Without hope there could be no faith, and without faith we cannot please God.
4. Why were the Scriptures written? Romans 15:4.
5. To what does patience lead? Hebrews 10:36.
6. How is the Christian race won? Hebrews 12:1.
Note: One cannot be a true Christian until all weights and sin are laid aside and then it takes patience to win.
7. From where does patience come? Romans 15:5.
8. What do temptations do for us? James 1:2-4.
9. What qualities must God’s servants have? II Timothy 2:24.
10. How should we take it when we do right and suffer for it? I Peter 2:19-20.
11. Will patience help us to avoid the wrath of God? Revelation 14:12.
12. Does God promise to protect us if we are patient? Revelation 3:10.
