Early and Latter Rain - Its Evidence

Preview: The Holy Spirit is necessary to our salvation.


Scripture Reading: Joel 2:21-32.

1. Did Christ make reference to the latter rain in His day? Luke 24:49.
2. At what time did Jesus promise the latter rain, the Holy Spirit, in the New Testament dispensation? Acts 1:8-9.
Note: The latter rain, the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Ghost, all three are identically the same. The Holy Spirit latter rain was poured out in the upper room as promised by Joel and Jesus.
3. Where and when did the disciples experience the Holy Ghost blessing? Acts 2:1-4.
4. How did it affect men on the outside? Acts 2:13.
5. What did Peter do to overthrow the false rumor against them? Acts 2:14-18.
6. Did the disciples have to make some preparation for the Spirit blessing? Luke 24:49 & Acts 2:1.
Note: First they had to come to one place, secondly they had to tarry, and thirdly become agreed and down came the blessing. Division could not bring the blessing.
7. What must an individual experience? Ephesians 5:26-27.
8. Is this a mystery? Ephesians 5:32.
Note: This is a mystery to those that know not.
9. How may we become eligible in receiving the Holy Spirit? John 14:15-17.
10. What will the Holy Spirit do for us? John 16:13.

12. Will we need men to teach us after the anointing? I John 2:27.
13. How may we know we have the anointing? I John 4:13.

16. What is the character of those without the Spirit of Christ? Galatians 5:19-21.
17. What is the character of those that have the Spirit of Christ? Galatians 5:22-26.
18. Can we be of Christ without the Spirit of Christ? Romans 8:9.
19. Will sin continue in the flesh if Christ dwells within? Romans 8:3.
20. What regard will those that believe in Christ have for the law? Romans 8:4.
