Preview: A lesson on how we should regard our fellowman.

Scripture Reading: Ephesians 2:1-10.

Memory Verse: Ephesians 2:13.

1. Can we see from the foregoing Scriptures that no one can boast about what he has become in Christ?
2. Where must our strength and power come from? Ephesians 3:16-17 & II Corinthians 4:6-7.
Note: Since we are His workmanship and our power and strength to do the right thing must come from Him, none of us have any right to boast or feel superior to others.
3. What is the mind of Christ? Philippians 2:5-8 & I Corinthians 2:14-16.
4. How will we esteem others if we have the mind of Christ? Philippians 2:1-4.
5. What will our attitude be? Ephesians 4:1-6, Ephesians 4:29 & Ephesians 4:31-32.
6. What will our conduct be? Ephesians 5:1-4, Ephesians 5:8-11 & Philippians 2:13-15.
7. How must we react to a brother who fails? Galatians 6:1-3.
Note: It is human nature to reject others who come short of our expectations. God’s nature is to extend a hand of mercy and forgiveness to those who seek Him. So will we if we have the mind of Christ.
8. Can we trust in our own ability, or must our trust always be in God? Galatians 2:20, Philippians 3:3 & Philippians 4:13.
9. What did Paul's attitude of trust teach him of being content? Philippians 4:11-12.
Note: Paul said he had experienced prosperity and poverty, but in all conditions he had learned to be content in Christ.
10. What did he instruct us to meditate on? Philippians 4:4 & Philippians 4:8.
Note: When we keep our eyes on the Lord and ourselves out of the way, we can look for the good in others. We will have no need to feel inferior or superior to anyone. We will be content to let God be the judge while we trust and obey.
