Preview: The role of sin and grace in our lives and our salvation is explored in this lesson.

Scripture Reading: Titus 2:9-15.

Memory Verse: I John 3:8.

1. Shall we live in sin while we abide in the grace of God? Romans 6:1-2.
Note: Sin is the transgression of the law. Grace is the mercy that was given to save us from sin. A man that is dead cannot lie or steal, neither can a man that is dead to sin continue in sin. We cannot be alive and dead at the same time.
2. Are we baptized into the Church or into Christ? Romans 6:3.
3. Should we be buried or sprinkled when we are baptized? Romans 6:4.
4. Whose example should we follow? Romans 6:5.
5. Why should we not serve sin? Romans 6:6.
6. From what were we freed when the old man was crucified? Romans 6:7.
7. Whom should we live with if we are dead with Christ? Romans 6:8.
Note: The teaching that we are not without sin and cannot keep from sinning is of the devil. We cannot afford to live or die with such doctrine. It does not have anything worthwhile to offer in this life, and it offers eternal death in the world to come.
8. Can we be assured of salvation if we live without sin? Romans 6:9-10.
9. What comparison did Paul make? Romans 6:11.
Note: God never intended for Christians to be sinners. We cannot be numbered with the saved and numbered with the sinners at the same time, because the way of salvation leads in the opposite direction from the way of sin. It is foolish to think that we can go both directions at the same time.
10. Can we be saved while sin reigns in our bodies? Why? Romans 6:12.
11. To whom should we yield our members? Romans 6:13.
12. What do we live under after sin has been ruled out of our lives? Romans 6:14.
13. Do we have the privilege to sin because we are under grace? Explain. Romans 6:15.
14. How do we become the servants of righteousness? Romans 6:18.
15. To whom did we serve when we were in our sins? Romans 6:20.
16. What is the reward for sin? Romans 6:23.
17. What will become of the souls of sinful men after their bodies die? Ezekiel 18:4.
