Sins Against Our Neighbor

Preview: A lesson on how to treat our fellowman.


Scripture Reading: Matthew 7:1-12.

Memory Verse: Ephesians 4:26.

1. Will anger cause us to sin against our neighbor? Proverbs 14:17 & Proverbs 16:32.
2. Should we be careful of harsh judgment? Luke 6:41-42 & John 7:24.
3. Why should we not scorn our neighbor? Proverbs 19:25, Proverbs 19:29 & Proverbs 21:11 & Proverbs 21:24.
4. Is malice sinful? Psalm 52:3-5, Ephesians 4:31 & James 5:9.
5. Should we envy our neighbor? Why? Galatians 5:26, James 3:14, James 3:16 & James 4:5.
6. How should we react to strife? Proverbs 10:12 & Proverbs 15:18.
7. Will flattery cause us to sin against our neighbor? Job 17:5 & Psalm 12:2-3.
8. What happens to us when we oppress others? Job 20:19-22 & Isaiah 30:12-14.
9. Should we covet? Why? Luke 12:15 & I Timothy 6:9-10.
Note: We should be very careful not to harbor anger, use harsh judgment, scorn, or possess envy, strife, oppression, or flattery, because all of these will cause us to sin against our neighbor.
