Preview: The story of the birth of our Savior is explained in this lesson.

1. What was the mission of Joseph and Mary in Bethlehem at this time? Luke 2:1-5.

Note: Jesus came to save His people from sin and to destroy the works of Satan. Praise the Lord.

Note: Some people teach that if there are three in the Son head, that Jesus would have to be the Son of the Holy Ghost, as they say it was the Holy Ghost that overshadowed Mary. But the angel said it was the power of the Highest that overshadowed Mary. We know that the highest is the Father of all. Therefore, Jesus is the Son of God. 
16. How did Mary respond after hearing the answer from the angel? Was she willing to become the mother of our Savior? Luke 1:38.
