Preview: This is the thirteenth and final part of a series of lessons entitled: ARMOR OF GOD.

Scripture Reading: Ephesians 6:10-20.

Memory Verse: I Samuel 17:47.

1. What kind of battle are we fighting and who gives the victory according to the foregoing Scripture Reading and Memory Verse?
Note: In the last twelve lessons we have discussed Christian warfare and its weapons and armor. Let us briefly highlight the importance of each.
2. What is the girdle of truth? John 14:6, John 17:17, Galatians 2:4-5 & Psalm 119:151.
Note: Jesus Christ, the Gospel, and the Law are truth. We can see why we cannot have salvation apart from truth. Only truth can make us free from sin.
3. What is the breastplate of righteousness? Ephesians 6:14 & I Thessalonians 5:1-9.
4. What happens to God’s people who trust in their own righteousness? Ezekiel 33:13.
Note: The breastplate of righteousness is Christ in us, not our own goodness. Only Christ can produce genuine faith and love.
5. What does it mean to have our feet shod with the preparation of peace? Ephesians 6:15, Matthew 28:18-20 & Romans 1:16.
6. What is said of the feet of those who preach the Gospel of Peace? Romans 10:15.
Note: When our feet are shod with the Gospel of Peace we become eager, willing witnesses. We cannot win the battle without a testimony to the King and His Kingdom.
7. What is the shield of faith? Romans 4:13 & Romans 4:19-25.
Note: Only faith gives substance to hope. Faith in God compels us to be obedient; faith without works is dead. Faith in God is counted unto us for righteousness. Without faith, it is impossible to please Him.
8. What is the helmet of salvation? I Thessalonians 5:8-9, I Thessalonians 5:23-24 & II Timothy 1:7-8.
Note: This helmet is Christ in our minds. As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he. He must have the mind of Christ. Philippians 2:5.  We will fear no evil.
9. What is the sword of the Spirit? Ephesians 6:17 & Hebrews 4:12.
Note: The Word is the sword, but it can only be administered by the Holy Spirit. All of the armor is Jesus Christ filling and protecting us from our head to our feet. Christ in us is our hope of glory made possible through the Holy Ghost.
