Preview: The affect of lasciviousness on a person’s salvation.


Scripture Reading: Exodus 32:1-6.

Memory Verse: Genesis 6:5.

1. What does the natural man do when the Lord does not dwell in his heart according to the foregoing Scriptures?
Note: Lasciviousness means unbridled or uncontrolled lust. Conduct and character that is indecent, unbecoming, and shameless.
2. Where did Jesus say this defilement comes from? Mark 7:21-23.
3. What causes this condition? Romans 1:28.
Note: It is a serious thing to reject the knowledge of truth. Eventually, one cannot tell truth from error or good from evil.
4. What warning is given to godly men concerning lascivious women? Proverbs 5:1-8.
5. What are her characteristics? Proverbs 6:24-26 & Proverbs 7:8-12.
6. What does she promise? Proverbs 7:13-20.
7. How will man respond if they do not have God? Proverbs 7:21-23.
8. How destructive is she? Proverbs 6:29, Proverbs 6:32-33 & Proverbs 7:24-27.
Note: This is a perfect word picture of a harlot or prostitute. This conduct is becoming more and more acceptable in today’s society, but God does not accept it. It is destroying our nation and the world.
9. What warning do we find concerning lascivious men? II Timothy 3:1-5.
10. What affect do they have on foolish (ungodly) women? II Timothy 3:6-7.
Note: Unfortunately, today this type of conduct is looked on as acceptable rather than foolish, but God has not changed, and He is still the Judge.
