Identifying and Avoiding Deception in Today’s World

Preview: The Bible is a wonderful resource for us to use to guide our lives toward truth and away from the deception that the world is filled with.

 

Scripture Reading: Matthew 24:5-24.

2. How may we make ourselves free from the enemies deceptions? John 8:32.

3. What do the Scriptures say regarding trusting human beings? Psalm 146:3.

Note: Many cults have a single human leader who is considered to be their messiah, whose ways will conflict with the Bible’s truth.

4. Who is the only source of our salvation? Acts 4:12, Isaiah 45:22.

Note: Jesus is our only source of salvation.

5. What is the result of teaching men’s doctrine over God’s? Mark 7:6-9, Luke 11:52-54.

Note: God is our only source of truth. The Bible is filled with His Word and is our only reliable guide.

Conclusion: Our complete and total allegiance is to be to God alone. Choosing God and His divine truth is the only way to receive His promises and achieve life.
